The Role
As an Analytics Engineer at Combined Curiosity, you'll be part of a group of intensely curious and analytical dorks (in the best way). On a daily basis, you'll be working with subject matter experts across the organization to identify 1. what questions are critical to the business and 2. what's the best answer to that question.
work with stakeholders across the organization to make data-driven decisions
orchestrate marketing experiments, managing the full process from hypothesis generation to creating recommendations based on the result
generate novel learnings from our data and communicate them effectively to stakeholders
maintain data quality in our warehouse by writing automated tests
peer-review team members' work to continuously learn from each other
work with analysts to enable effective data storytelling
Requirements
1 year+ professional experience
An analytical mindset - not necessarily analyst experience, but comfortable working with numbers whether professionally, academically, or through hobbies
Love solving problems, and don’t shy away from a challenge
You are comfortable working with ambiguity - we're a startup + we work with data, the "right" answer to something won't always be obvious
Curiosity and passion! You thrive in taking advantage of new approaches, tools and channels to drive results.
A creative engineering mindset to identify and remove blockers that slow the team from quickly and efficiently scaling
Ability to work independently and demonstrate qualities of a self-starter
Nice to have (not required up front - but you will learn these things!)
experience analyzing B2C data
proficient in SQL (we use Postgres + dbt)
familiarity with Python / R (we use Python)
BI tool experience (we use Metabase + Hex)
knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (we use Airflow)
familiarity with git
Hiring Proces
We're growing quickly and therefore have to hire quickly. We'll schedule an initial phone call with our recruiter or hiring manager, then follow-up with a final block of interviews including a manager + peers (these generally run 1-2 hours). That's it

$60k-$85k annual salary dependent on experience
